The Stealing Machine by Eugene Volliod... At the turn of the century, Eugene Villiod, Parisian detective, wrote this French classic exposing how clever crooks and con artists of the time circumvented the antigambling laws and operated clubs and casinos legally under the "private club" charter ruse.
